Bryant HVAC Wheels In Big Money In The Ride To Conquer Cancer

2 in 5 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. If you are doing the math, that’s 40%…or almost half of us.
To combat the situation, Bryant Heating & Cooling put together a team to raise money in second annual Ride To Conquer Cancer. It’s a cycling event that took place on September 25-26 and had teams pedaling through the scenic bluegrass country. Funds raised benefit the Norton Cancer Institute which is a leading provider of cancer care in the Louisville and Southern Indiana areas.

Norton’s goal is to ensure help for individuals and families in the region conquer cancer by offering them programs, services and advanced care.
The Ride starts and finishes at E.P Tom Sawyer Park in Louisville but each day wanders through different areas of Kentucky’s scenic countryside.
On Day One, riders share the Opening Ceremonies then ride along the same route and then loop back to the Camp where they will share a celebration with dinner and entertainment.
On Day Two, riders camp overnight and continue on the grueling course to the finish line where they are welcomed home by cheering crowds of friends and family.
The Bryant Team got involved because, “We’re here because we know that cancer is too big a disease to ignore. It affects everyone, maybe you, me, our parents, kids, siblings or friends. Sadly, maybe all of the above. But by riding in this event we are doing something about it. We’re rolling closer and closer to the end of cancer. It’s an awesome triumph in a physical sense and emotionally as well.”
We are proud to say both Jackie and Jason Schembari were named Silver Ambassadors of the event.

And what a job they did! The Bryant Heating & Cooling Team had a goal to raise $26,200….but in the end they exceeded this and raised $33,712.70…that’s $7,512.70 over their goal! Way to go!
